Editorial and corrections policy|Know where a travel suggestion comes from
Travel information changes, and every route has conditions. These principles explain how our content should be prepared so that you can judge its basis and its suitability for your trip.
Three kinds of information
- Checkable facts:For event dates, opening arrangements, transport rules and ticket conditions, we prioritise organisers, operators, venues and government tourism sites. Relevant source links are retained.
- Editorial plans:Route order, suggested time, areas to stay and trade-offs should explain their reasoning and who they suit. A sample is not a promise of identical results for every traveller.
- Personal and reader experience:A visit, test or hotel stay should only be described as such when there is a corresponding basis. Reader contributions should be distinguishable from the site's editorial advice.
What should research add?
Other travel sites may help identify topics and questions. The organisation and advice in an article should be developed independently. We aim to turn information into useful choices: which places fit together, who may not enjoy a route, how to adapt to rain, and what an additional transport cost buys in return.
Translation, a different headline or substituted words do not automatically create a new travel perspective. Necessary quotations, charts and data should identify their source and respect the applicable conditions of use.
Dates, prices and uncertainty
Seasonal and event content should state the year. Dates from an earlier edition should not be carried into an unannounced edition. Price and budget examples should state the currency, unit, assumptions and checking date, distinguishing admission, transport, extras and platform promotions.
A checking date describes when information was reviewed; it does not guarantee continuing validity. Conflicting sources, unsettled operations and historical-only announcements should be identified. Confirm arrangements with the relevant operator before departure or payment.
AI assistance and responsibility
AI may assist with ideas, drafts, language conversion, structure and illustration. Its output is not evidence of a fact, a visit or a tested service.
The site operator is responsible for publication and corrections. Content requires editorial review and source checking; automated bulk publication is not a substitute. Precise claims without sufficient support should be removed or clearly qualified.
English versions make the content accessible to more readers. They are not a second, independent source of verification. Where a translation differs from an operator's original notice, use the original notice.
Report a correction
Send the article URL, the relevant wording, the date you noticed the issue and a checkable source through Instagram @broneko.travel or Threads.
Issues affecting transport availability, booking eligibility, deadlines and purchase conditions take priority. A correction that changes the main route, cost calculation or admission conditions should update the relevant passage and its date. Minor typographical fixes do not always receive a separate notice.
Conditions and reader experiences can differ. We assess the evidence rather than remove reasonable questions in place of a correction.
