Combine the skyline with a neighbourhood walk, and check the observatory ticket and entrance before going.

What makes this stop worth a look?

Start with the skyline, then return to street level for a walk. Taipei 101’s observatory and shopping mall are different experiences; decide whether going up is your priority before spending the afternoon comparing tickets.

A route for your travel notebook.

Editorial visit sequence, not a map to scale. Adjust for access and your actual transport.

  1. Taipei 101/WTC station
  2. Xinyi walk & meal
  3. Taipei 101 observatory

Walk and eat in Xinyi before your chosen observatory slot. If you aim for late-afternoon light, keep shopping and meals flexible. Visibility depends on the weather, so do not make a clear sunset the condition for enjoying the outing.

Connect it from your own starting point.

For the MRT, look up Taipei 101/World Trade Center, R03. Check the observatory’s check-in floor, entrance and last admission separately from the mall’s hours.

A note from Bro-neko

Check visibility and ticket conditions before leaving. A street-level walk is a good alternative when you prefer to keep the outing simple.
